Here are some of my Purchases in May
Revlon Lipgloss New Shade Coral Reef
Corals are so in this season – and it’s a pretty versatile colour! The new Revlon Lipgloss has a fruity flavour and gives you that fresh luminous look. The colour pay off is pretty good too and formulation is light, but not too light that you eat it all off! There are no sparkles. A dupe for this would be No.7 Lipgloss inTangerine – Tastes of tangerines and glittery too! Coral look great on those of us who have olive toned skin!
I teamed my new liploss up with Barry M's Lipstick No. 53 for a super glam look!
Revlon Matte Power Blush on 003 Perfectly Peach
A really smooth and soft formulation, this colour is the perfect accompaniment to the new Revlon Lipgloss. It’s easy to apply and it comes with a little applicator brush and cute ‘pop out’ mirror which pops out when you press the button!
Revlon Nail Enamel in 031 Lilac Pastelle
What a gorgeous colour! It oddly reminds me of cupcakes and babies! The formulation was easy to go on and I got great overage even after just one coat! I’ve had it on for just over 24 hours and no chips. This is without a topcoat. Love it, let’s hope it lasts all week! This is a bang on trend colour and whats even better was that I got it for free from Superdrug who are currently doing 3 for 2 on all Revlon Products! (as at 16.05.10)
GOSH Special Eyeshadow Selection 002 Bohemian Gypsy
I couldn’t help myself when I saw this quad! I was completely taken by the presentation! I love those little globules of eyeshadow! The colour selection is a little odd, but I can definitely make it work! Use a combination of a number of colours or on their own! Really nice colour pay off too! They all have a lustre finish except for the bluey black shade (top right) which has a little sparkle. The peachy colour could be used as a highlight for the cheeks too!
I'll do a look with all of my new goodies and post soon!

IMATS LONDON 2010, January 2010
So I went to IMATS London at Alexandra Palace this morning for a snoop around. The line up included big names like Illamasqua, MAC Pro, Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics as well as Eve Pearl and Yaby Cosmetics which hit the YouTube scene about 6 months ago. HD Makeup forever was being sold at a number of counters including PAM. These are only a few of the exhibitors.
Whilst checking out the Z Palettes, I bumped into Wayne Goss from GOSSMAKEUPARTIST. What a lovely Gorgeous Man! I think it was only 09:30AM and Wayne already had his hands full of bags, and I hadn't even started yet!
Wayne is a Legend, he takes the level of Kevin Aucoin (on my Makeup Artist Legend Hierarchy). I adore Wayne and his work. Wayne does brilliant tutorials on YouTube. They are simple and easy to follow if you are just starting out, but his techniques allow you to create pretty advanced looks. Not only is Wayne an exceptional Makeup Artist, he is also a very good teacher.
Read Wayne's blog @ http://gossmakeupartist.blogspot.com/ and watch his tutorials @ http://www.youtube.com/user/gossmakeupartist!
...Then I managed to bump into OxfordJasmine (I did this on purpose of course!) Jasmine had popped into PAM to pick up a Z Palette, and again, what a Lovely Lady! Practically Perfect, like Mary Poppins!
I wasn't overly impressed by the Yaby Counter. The products are good and come in a range of different colours, but there wasn't anything that caught my eye. There was nothing here that the Sleek Palettes from Superdrug (drugstore) couldn't achieve.
I was also really disappointed at the Treasure House. They didn't have the Ben Nye 12 Colour Eyeshadow Palette in stock, so I couldn't make a purchase here.
I did however manage to meet Nic from Pixiwoo at the Illamasqua Counter. She was so kind and took the time out to speak to me and have a picture with me too. I know I look like a goof, but I don't care, I was totally star struck! You're supposed to look like that! Nic looking fab as usual.
Unfortunately I couldn't get right inside the Illamasqua stall, it was Choca!
HAUL
I only purchased a few bits.
The Maqpro Fard Creme Block - I'm in Love!
These are going to be great eyeliners, lip liners, lipsticks, coloured eyes primers etc! They are so versatile. They are a wax based product and the effect is just wow! the Large Maqpro Fard Creme Block had over 40 colours in it, including a variety of foundation , skin correcting and concealing colours. I had better start saving because this was going for over £160, but well worth it because a little product goes a long way.
Hush LipTar, Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics
Azalea Blush, MAC PRO
The Mint Green seemed a little creamier than the rest of the Palette, but I think in general it's best to use these products at room temperature. I am really looking forward to using them on my next shoot!
Hush LipTar, Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics
I just had to buy HUSH from OCC. I also picked one up for Helen http://itsamakeupthing.blogspot.com/ who couldn't make it, but we've both been in love with this one for a while. Check out Helen's posts as she'll be doing a review on HUSH and a variety of other colours soon! What do you think of them?
Azalea Blush, MAC PRO
OK, so I have been longing for this since Scandalous Beauty raved about it on YouTube well over a year ago.
It is the most intense Fushia Pink, with a slight metallic finish. it is also super silky and goes on like a dream. For lighter skins tones you really only need a dab, otherwise you'll end up looking like a dolly. But for Women of Colour, this can be buffed into your skin generously.
I'll be doing a short blog on how Azalea compares with Beverley Knights Fushia Blush, Coming Soon!
Brushes, Royal & Langnikel
I say 'A girl can never have too many brushes'. These brushes were of a reasonable standard and at a reasonable price. I loved the retractable lip pencils, which can be great for touching up (when you've already used it on a model) because they hide away neatly until you need to touch up ensuring the brush doesn't get contaminated in the meantime.
I must say, I have had the most wonderful day and It was even better being able to meet some of the most influential makeup Guru's in the UK.
